The Val di Fiemme, a renowned venue for high-level international Nordic skiing events for many years, is gearing up to host the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games Milano Cortina 2026. To prepare, a series of lead-up events has been organized, allowing athletes and organizers to test the new tracks and facilities ahead of this extraordinary occasion.
The Paralympic sports community, in particular, will be among the first to experience the renovated cross-country stadium in Lago di Tesero, which will host para biathlon competitions during the Paralympics in March 2026.
In the pre-Olympic 2024/2025 season, Val di Fiemme will host a Para Biathlon World Cup stage for the first time, where athletes from around the world will put their skills to the test on the new Paralympic tracks, both on skis and at the shooting range. The event kicks off on Wednesday, January 29, with a 10km Middle race, followed by the Sprint on Thursday, January 30. Three categories of athletes—standing, sitting, and visually impaired—will compete, offering spectators a breathtaking spectacle set against the stunning backdrop of the Lagorai range and the Latemar Dolomites.
